Dakre Ramdas (44), died allegedly by  suicide as he was depressed for registering losses in raising the cotton crop at Patnapur village in Jainoor mandal on Friday.

The farmer Halavath Srinivas (41) left his home at 1 am on Saturday and was found hanging from a tree by his family members at 6 am.

According to his wife Bhagya, the Shivaramulu went out to irrigate his field on Thursday evening. When he failed to return home, they family went in search of him, only to find him hanging to the tractor's silencer.

Even after his suicide, his widow had attempted to save the crop by spending Rs 25,000 as the pump set burned out due to an erratic power supply.

Police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Mancherial area hospital for autopsy.
