Sisodia was called for questioning on Sunday in connection with the case, nearly three months after a charge sheet was filed in the matter.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday summoned Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to join the investigation in the excise policy scam case on Sunday.

The audio clip had Ramachandra Bharati, the prime accused in the case over an attempt to buy four TRS MLAs, saying that after Telangana, next was ‘in Delhi’.

The senior AAP leader played the audio tape at a press conference and said the BJP "dalal" (broker) heard in the clip was one of the three people arrested in Telangana over an alleged bid to poach that state's ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs.

Before heading for the CBI office, Sisodia went to his party's headquarters from where he stopped at Rajghat (Mahatma Gandhi's Samadhi). The AAP workers also took out a massive rally to show their solidarity with him.

On Tuesday, the CBI had arrested Mahendru's aide Vijay Nair in connection with the same scam.

Manish Sisodia is campaigning for the party in North Gujarat. After addressing a public rally in Unjha town on Friday night, Sisodia told mediapersons that the party will announce the CM candidate at an appropriate time.

Sisodia was also present at the bank's branch along with his wife. Heavy police personnel were deployed outside the bank to avoid any untoward incident.
