Meta has reportedly shut down its Connectivity division almost 10 years after launching the initiative.

The feature appeared to some users after installing the latest WhatsApp Desktop update, reports WABetaInfo.

The messaging platform also redesigned eight emojis which are already visible in the beta version, reports WABetaInfo.

It is a 1:1 chat with yourself to send notes, reminders, and updates, the company said in a statement.

The mute shortcut will display at the top of group chats and will help users to disable notifications of messages received in the group, reports WABetaInfo.
