Flood waters recede in several places across Hyderabad; IMD forecasts heavy rains on October 19, 20

Sources said that the farmers were stuck on the island following the rise in the flow of waters in the river at around 12 am.

Hyderabad district collector Swetha Mohanty is supervising the local revenue, fire, police and GHMC teams in taking up rescue operations.

The incident happened around noon, according the fire officials who were the first to reach the spot followed by the GHMC Disaster Response Force.
