The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has imposed penalties ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 10 lakh on more than 95 private junior colleges for violating norms. It has also withheld the affiliation of several colleges that failed to meet mandatory standards.
Stating that an admissions notification and schedule for ensuing academic year 2025-26 was yet to be issued, TG BIE Secretary S Krishna Aditya instructed the colleges to strictly adhere to the admission schedule
The department is also focusing on formulating a new law to regulate fees and planning to come up with a new fee structure for the junior college before going in for admissions online.
In a statement, the Board said it received complaints highlighting unauthorized admission activities, pre-admissions and misleading testing procedures being conducted by certain private junior colleges.
Students should enter their SSC hall ticket number for first year or previous hall ticket number for second year (regular and private) followed by date of birth to check their details
