In an informal interaction with the media during his visit to Delhi, Revanth Reddy said the State Cabinet tasked poet Andesri with writing the anthem and he was the one who recommended Keeravani to compose the music.

Stating that the Chief Minister's stance is contradictory and foolish, he questioned the former's hatred towards the Kakatiya Thoranam and Charminar.

Written by poet and lyricist Ande Sri, the song was adopted as the official anthem by the government in February this year.
