Hyderabad City Police’s She Teams have deployed special measures to protect women and children during Ganesh festivities. Officers in plain clothes, backed by CCTV surveillance, will monitor pandals and immersion routes, with strict action against harassment or misconduct.

In a fortnight-long drive, Rachakonda She Teams apprehended 152 persons, including 79 minors, for harassing women across metro trains, stations, bus stops, colleges and workplaces. Offenders underwent counselling, while police also conducted awareness programmes on child marriages

Under Operation Muskaan-XI, the SHE teams rescued 74 children, reunited 69 children with parents and admitted 5 children in shelter homes.

The Hyderabad She teams during the month of April caught 49 persons in the city for allegedly harassing, stalking and sexually assaulting women

They booked 10 criminal cases, and 14 petty cases and 139 persons were counselled during this period

Of them, two persons were sentenced to two days imprisonment and one suspect was sentenced to one day imprisonment

Officials stated that between November 16 and December 15, they received complaints from various sources, including direct reports, WhatsApp messages, and social media, regarding hotspots such as metro trains, stations, bus stops, workplaces, and colleges across the Rachakonda area.
