Arush was defeated by West Bengal’s Debraj Bhattacharjee in the semifinals, with Debraj ultimately winning the title. Showing great resilience, Arush recovered to dominate the bronze medal match, winning 3-0 against Ajinsu Bhandari, also from West Bengal, and secured a podium finish for Telangana.
