The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has imposed penalties totalling nearly Rs 29 lakh on two Hyderabad-based builders for violating RERA provisions. The action follows complaints of construction defects, non-registration of projects, and failure to refund buyers
The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has ordered Hyderabad-based Jayathri Infrastructure India to refund Rs. 11.25 lakh, with 10.80% interest, to a buyer for failing to deliver on a commercial property deal.
TG RERA chairman N Satyanarayana and two other members issued orders on July 19 and directed the respondent to pay a penalty and refund the entire amount as per the sale agreement, with interest at the rate of 11%, within 30 days.
TGRERA has ordered Prathima Infrastructure to register its Gopanpally-based villa project, Pristine Estates, and obtain occupancy certificates within 30 days. The move comes after villa owners alleged non-provision of amenities and misuse of corpus funds collected for community maintenance.
