A heated exchange took place in the Telangana Assembly as BRS and Congress members clashed over allegations linked to a Kamareddy incident, with KT Rama Rao and Congress MLA Madan Mohan Rao trading charges during the Motion of Thanks debate.

Tension erupted in Yellareddy and Devarkonda municipalities as BRS leaders accused police of favouring Congress candidates during polling. Former MLA Jajula Surender staged a road protest and was later taken into custody. Minor confrontations were reported in multiple wards.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the attack on BRS cadre following sarpanch election results in Somarpet village of Kamareddy district. Alleging deteriorating law and order, he demanded strict police action and warned of serious consequences if such incidents continued.

As Satyanarayana lost the floor test, the municipal authorities will soon hold a council meeting to elect the new chairman. With a majority of the councillors belonging to the BRS, the party is likely to win the post.
