Task force team formed to provide better services, to curb unethical practices

Mancherial: Members of Telangana Medical Council said that a 30-member task force team comprising doctors, lawyers, NGO, scribes and others would be formed to provide quality medical service to the public and to prevent unethical practices. Addressing a press conference along with members of Indian Medical Association (IMA) media persons here on Friday.
Dr Yeggana Srinivas, a member of the council said that the task force team was formed with a motto to bring about change in medicine. He stated that legal action would be initiated against wrongdoers in the system. He added that the council was taking help from the IMA-Mancherial chapter to achieve its goal.
Members of the council further said that nexus between Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs) and some doctors would be exposed by the team. Action is going to be taken against doctors who do not follow ethics. None will be spared. The team will not succumb to pressure exerted by anybody. The members of the IMA would serve the community soon, they explained.
The members advised the public to report their grievances on 75575 55777. They stated that the ultimate goal of the task force was to reform the field of medicine and to win people’s trust. They noted that already 40 cases were booked against errant RMPs and two doctors in erstwhileAdilabad district.
