Rainwater flooded NH-765D at Annaram in Gummadidala mandal as three tanks at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal overflowed. At least 10 villages were cut off after Haldi vagu overflowed across the Dandupalya-Wargal road, while traffic between Veldurthy and Uppulingapur was halted due to flooding. In Manoharabad, rainwater entered the MPDO office and police station, hampering official work.
In Sirgapur mandal, a car was swept away in Vasar stream, but locals rescued the driver and pulled the car to the shore. In Ameenpur mandal, water overflowed onto the ORR service road at Gandigudem. At Ramaiah Pally in Manoharabad, an RTC bus was trapped under a bridge with water stagnating up to waist level.
Low-lying areas across the districts were inundated, with Tupran town worst affected, as many houses were submerged. Officials of three districts have set up control rooms and put citizens on alert, as the IMD has predicted more rain in the coming days.
