Telangana issues orders for 30 per cent hike remuneration of contract, outsourcing staff
The State government has already fixed consolidated remuneration of contract and outsourcing personnel working in different government departments and affiliated organisations.

Hyderabad: After implementing the 30 per cent hike in fitment for the government employees and pensioners, the State government on Tuesday issued orders enhancing the remuneration of contract and outsourcing staff commencing from the current month of June, payable in July. Similarly, the wages of casual labours, part-time workers and consolidated pay workers also have been hiked by nearly 30 per cent in the State.
The State government has already fixed consolidated remuneration of contract and outsourcing personnel working in different government departments and affiliated organisations. As per the recommendations made by Pay Revision Commission of 2020, the government has decided to enhance the remuneration by 30 per cent of the existing remuneration or the minimum of the time scale attached to the similar category of comparable post in the Revised Pay Scale of 2020, whichever is less.
Further, the minimum wages of casual labour/daily wage worker, full-time contingent worker/consolidated pay worker and part-time worker, also was fixed by the government. Accordingly, the wages have been hiked from Rs 300 to Rs 390 per day for daily wage worker, Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,400 per month for full-time contingent worker/consolidated pay worker, and from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,200 per month for part-time worker. The revision of wages will be implemented with effect from this June payable in July.
The State government has also approved revision of the honorarium with 30 per cent enhancement for ZPTCs, MPTCs and Sarpanches. The hike in remuneration also has been proposed for homeguards, Anganwadi workers/assistants, village revenue assistants, village organisation assistants, ASHA workers, and SERP staff. The departments concerned have been advised to send necessary proposals for enhancing the remuneration.
On behalf of the elected representatives of local bodies, Nizamabad Local Bodies Constituency MLC K Kavitha thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for approving the requests by the MLCs representing the Local Bodies constituencies to increase the honorarium being paid to the elected representatives of local bodies. It may be recalled that 12 MLCs representing the Local Bodies constituency submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister earlier on issues pertaining to funds and duties among others.
