Adilabad: Three persons were arrested on Sunday in Utnoor mandal centre for allegedly creating fake nativity certificates and Aadhaar cards to help job aspirants from Uttar Pradesh secure positions in the armed forces.
Utnoor Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kajal Singh briefed the media, stating that Shaik Kaleem, Shaik Fareed, and Jadhav Gajanand, all residents of Islampur in Echoda mandal, were apprehended for their involvement in the forgery racket. The trio allegedly collected Rs. 1 lakh from each of nine candidates from Uttar Pradesh for creating the forged documents.
During interrogation, Kaleem and Fareed reportedly confessed to forming a gang to make quick money after being approached by armed forces aspirants from UP. They admitted to accepting a total of Rs. 3 lakh from the candidates, while another individual, Hurlik from UP, held the remaining amount.
The duo confessed to forging official signatures and procuring fake Aadhaar cards and nativity certificates. They were reportedly inspired by an instance where a youth from UP secured a job in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) by falsely claiming nativity in Echoda mandal using fake community certificates.
Gajanand, the third accused, admitted to collecting Rs. 20,000 from Kaleem and Fareed by threatening to expose their activities unless he was paid.
