Hyderabad: What started as a very hot and dry morning, turned into a cloudy afternoon and later a windy evening. The weather on Saturday kept changing as the day progressed with some localities witnessing light showers towards late evening.

The sun was overcast since the afternoon, resulting in the temperature across the city to drop. While the maximum temperature of 37.2 degree Celcius was recorded at Narayanguda, areas surrounding BHEL witnessed pleasant weather throughout the day at 23.3 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad has also issued a warning for thunderstorms at isolated places in the State over the next five days. The current situation was a result of the cyclonic circulation over south Maharashtra that is now seen at 0.9 km above mean sea level. However, the trough from northeast Madhya Pradesh to Vidarbha has become less marked, it said.

According to the latest developments, weather officials warn that thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, gusty winds between 30 and 40 kmph, and hailstorms were very likely to occur at isolated places across Telangana.

Districts including Hyderabad, Rangareddy Medchal-Malkajgiri, Adilabad, Kumram Bheem-Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jagtial, Pedapalli, Karimnagar, Rajanna-Siricilla, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Vikarabad, Narayanpet, Mahabubnagar, Jogulamba-Gadwal, Wanaparthy could receive light to moderate rains for the next five days.

The highest maximum temperature of 42.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Medak by the IMD on Saturday.
