There are already about 25 trains running between Hyderabad and Nagpur, both cities being commercial and business centres. However, all are express trains and not superfast trains. There is a lot of trade happening between the two cities and huge traffic being witnessed on any given day. The travel time of normal passenger trains takes about 10 hours and the Vande Bharat train is expected to cut that travel time to around 6.30 hours.

The distance between Secunderabad and Nagpur is about 581 km and usually it takes 10 hours to cover the distance. Now the Indian Railway is trying to reduce the time from 10 hours to 6.30 hours by introducing the new Vande Bharat train. It is learnt that the railway officials have also finalised the route of this Vande Bharat train. It is expected to run from Secunderabad via Kazipet, Ramagundam, Sirpur Khagaz Nagar and Balarsha. The Vande Bharat express is likely to depart from Nagpur at 6 am and reach Secunderabad at 12.30 pm and depart at 1.30 pm on the return journey and reach Nagpur at 8 pm on the same day. An official announcement is likely in this regard.
