ADB agreed to sanction Rs 4,100 crore for Musi Rejuvenation project, says Sridhar Babu
The Telangana government has secured Rs 4,100 crore funding from the Asian Development Bank for the Musi Rejuvenation Project and has sought an additional Rs 3,188 crore from the Ministry of Jal Shakti under the National River Conservation Plan.

Hyderabad: Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said the Asian Development Bank (ADB) had agreed to fund Rs 4,100 crore for Musi Rejuvenation project.
The State government had also approached the Ministry of Jal Shakti for funding Rs 3,188 crore for the project under National River Conservation Plan to ensure treated water was released into River Musi, he said during question hour in the Assembly on Friday.
The entire project has been divided into five zones. The Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd. (MRDCL) had engaged Meinhardt Singapore Private Limited, Cushman and Wakefield India Private Limited and RIOS Design Studio Private Limited consortium to prepare the “Aggregate Master plan for Musi Riverfront Development” project, he said.
At the confluence of Musa and Esa rivulets, the State government is developing Gandhi Sarovar. The conceptual plan has been completed and defence lands are required. To this effect, proposals have been submitted to the defence authorities, he added.
