BRS ranks stage protests at MLA camp offices in Kothagudem
BRS activists staged dharnas across Kothagudem district demanding road development and opposing the diversion of District Mineral Fund (DMF) allocations. The protests, led by district president Rega Kantha Rao, saw rallies at MLA camp offices in Kothagudem, Yellandu, and Aswapuram.

Kothagudem: BRS ranks staged dharnas at MLA camp offices across the district on Friday demanding the development of roads and other infrastructure in the district following a call given by the party district president Rega Kantha Rao.
In v, the party leaders Bandi Raju Goud, Sindhu Tapaswi and others took out a protest rally from the BRS party office to the MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao camp office in Writer Basthi. Raju Goud said that the public representative failed to utilise the District Mineral Fund (DMF) in the constituency.
He alleged that DMF funds which were supposed to be spent in SCCL areas were being diverted to Palair and Madhira assembly constituencies in Khammam district at the directions of Ministers P Srinivas Reddy and Bhatti Vikramarka.
The BRS senior leader Dindigala Rajender led a protest at Yellandu, where they staged a dharna at MLA Koram Kanakaiah camp office. He said the Congress government, which was making money by increasing taxes on vehicles, has failed to repair the roads.
People were facing many difficulties due to the poor condition of the roads and road accidents were taking place frequently. Diverting the DMF to other places was not right and the local public representative failed to get funds sanctioned for the constituency development, he said.
At Aswapuram, the mandal party president K Amarender Yadav and others took out a protest rally. He said that due to the digital campaign started by Kantha Rao, BTPS has sanctioned funds worth Rs 2.50 crore and a cheque was given to the district Collector for repairing the roads in Pinapaka constituency and the works started on Thursday. Similar protests were staged at other constituency headquarters.
