Acting on a tip off, the police caught Syed Jeelani (47) and Mohammed Osman (41), both residents of Tallabkatta Bhavaninagar and found that they were organising the game through Whatsapp.

The incident took place at Bagh Amberpet, when the girl and her younger sister were walking towards their home in the neighbourhood.

In this nefarious fraud, fraudsters/hackers manipulate and divert calls and messages of victims to specific numbers to obtain OTPs and then log into their WhatsApp accounts.

The arrested persons are Prabhakar Malik (28), Tapan Das (32), Sachindra Das (48) and Ratikanta Das (26), all natives of Odisha.

Victims in this kind of scam are tricked into believing that they are in danger, while their families or friends are also threatened with violence against the victim.
