Hyderabad: Though the monsoon could be delayed a bit, there will be bountiful rains this year and farmers will reap good profits, B Santosh Kumar Sashtry ,who rendered the almanac as part of Ugadi festivities, said on Tuesday.
People will escape from the Covid threat but the fear will continue to persist. People have to be cautious, especially in terms of health, he said. There will be prosperity and good results will be achieved in majority of the sectors. The journey from dark end to a brighter end is all about Plava Nama (Telugu New Year), which started on Ugadi, he said.
Government and banking sectors will be back on track. Education and police department’s operations will be efficient, he predicted. Overall, it will be a good year for farmers and they should cultivate crops as suggested by the agriculture department, he said, adding “The relations between State and Centre will be cordial,”.
With real estate continuing its good run, there could be scope for land scams. People should be cautious in dealing with land transactions, he said, adding that women will continue to excel on all fronts and continue their dominance.
Earlier, Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy released the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, Yadadri Panchangam at the Endowments office here. The Minister said in view of Covid-19 pandemic, Ugadi was celebrated on a low key.
Though it has been a custom to organise Ugadi celebrations by the State Government, this year, as per Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s directions, the festivities were organised without much fanfare, he said.
He sought the cooperation of devotees in containing the spread of Covid-19 by staying away from congregations.
