Sangareddy: Former Minister T Harish Rao accused some IPS officers of tapping the phones of BRS leaders and using CCTV cameras placed around their residences to track their movements and activities, at the behest of the Congress government.
Accusing the police of turning the Command and Control Centre located in Hyderabad as centre for the entire hacking activity, he said that the police officials had roped in hackers from Bengaluru by paying them huge amounts.
Speaking to news reporters at Sangareddy Central Jail after meeting BRS leader Manne Krishank and his associates in the jail on Tuesday, Haris Rao said that they had all the evidence of hacking carried out by the Telangana Police officials, to track the BRS leaders’ activities.
Stating that they were noting down every police officer’s activity, the former minister said that they will certainly launch a probe after coming to power to expose the officials involved. The former minister warned that such officials will have to face the action since they had all the evidence. He said that they will not let the IPS officers go free even after their retirement.
Harish Rao asked them to remember that the police officers will have to pay their court fees at their own expense post retirement. Rao said that the BRS had been recording every activity of the police and other officials who were acting in favour of the ruling Congress party and harassing the opposition leaders for raising public issues.
Accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of taking up construction of another ultra-modern camp office with an outlay of Rs 100 crore, Rao said that Revanth was focused on amassing money and enjoying a luxurious life over serving the people. The former minister said that the Chief Minister had failed to keep any of the promises he made during the election campaign.
