Hyderabad: The special drive to crack down on unauthorised constructions in the limits of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), which began on Monday, continued for the second consecutive day.
Unauthorised constructions in Shankarpally Municipality, Badangpet Municipal Corporation, Pochampally Municipality and Dundigal Municipality were demolished on Tuesday.
The special demolition drive was taken up by District Task Forces (DTFs ) constituted as a part of Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification (TS-bPASS) implementation.
Before the drive was taken up, the Metropolitan Commissioner, Arvind Kumar had constituted four teams for a ground survey to identify unauthorised constructions. Based on the report, the DTFs demolished the buildings.
Commissioners of all municipal corporations and municipalities in the HMDA limits were already instructed by the the Metropolitan Commissioner to demolish unauthorised constructions in their respective jurisdictions and to submit an action taken report.
