BRS leaders in Hyderabad have accused the Congress-led government of using police force to intimidate their cadre ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election. The controversy erupted after several party workers, including leader Arun, were allegedly detained without charges.

With the Jubilee Hills bypoll campaign nearing its end, senior BRS leaders launched a vigorous outreach in support of candidate Maganti Sunitha Gopinath. Former ministers and MLAs conducted door-to-door canvassing and small group meetings across key divisions.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu has instructed officers to closely monitor rowdy sheeters and property offenders, including their residences and movements. SOT and Crime Teams are also tasked with tracking anti-social elements to prevent crimes and maintain public peace
