Hyderabad: Ram Gopal Varma has cleared the air saying there’s no truth in the news that he is making a movie on how former minister Etela Rajender betrayed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. RGV shared the post that is getting circulated on Twitter and other social media apps and called it fake.
The post that he shared on his handle shows that the maverick director is making a feature film on the episode of Etela Rajender betraying KCR.
The fake post written in Telugu, which is purportedly going viral, reads, “I think there’s a similarity between Etela’s episode and legendary actor NT Rama Rao getting backstabbed by Chandrababu Naidu. I have decided to make a movie after consulting political intellectuals from Telangana on how Rajender backstabbed KCR. The title would be ‘Vennupotu Etela’.”
In a funny response to his post, a user said he wouldn’t be surprised if RGV decides to make a film on it in the future. Another one asked RGV to make a movie on Sasikala who is a former aide of CM late J Jayalalithaa. Another user wrote in the comments that she actually wants to make a biopic on RGV himself and gave a title named ‘Dhunnapothu Ramulu’.
