Over 12 lakh students benefited from digital classes in Telangana
The State even arranged lessons for a total of 62,765 students, who did not have access to any digital device.

Hyderabad: When the schools remained closed due to Covid pandemic, Telangana government had come up with a unique idea to help the students, by telecasting lessons on DD/T-SAT. As per a report issued by the Department of School Education, over nine lakh students (from Class III to X) viewed the daily lessons on DD/T-SAT, whereas over two lakh used smart phones/laptops/computers to take the online lessons.
The State even arranged lessons for a total of 62,765 students, who did not have access to any digital device. The authorities paired 43,595 students to other students who had the access to the digital lessons. Over 10,000 attended the community/group viewing sessions, whereas around 8,000 students were given personal visits by teachers or volunteers, to ensure continued education.
The authorities also ensured that the teachers and headmistresses of the school kept in touch with the students or their parents to make sure the child did not face any troubles in understanding the lessons.
