Kumram Bheem Asifabad: The recent torrential rains resulted in many perennial waterfalls belonging to the district flowing in their full glory. Following the heavy rains, certain seasonal waterfalls located in the dense forests of different parts of the district have come alive as well. One such untitled waterfall is at Darigaon village in Kaghaznagar mandal.
Located in the dense forest and hilly terrain, the short-living yet scenic nature wonder has come alive adding beauty to the wild, thanks to the downpours a few weeks ago. The water falls down from around 50 feet height, giving a pleasant sight to visitors. It, however, disappears if the district records a prolonged dry spell.
Kaghaznagar Forest Range Officer K Shiva Kumar said that the waterfall was a lesser known one. It is a seasonal nature wonder. Tiger trackers spotted it when they were engaged in protection of big cats inhabiting this forest division. It is not safe to spend time at the picturesque spot, considering movement of big cats, he stated.
Wildlife photographer Rajesh Kanny said that one needs to trek for at least 3 kilometres to reach the waterfall. It was breath-taking and water cascades down through rocks, offering a visual treat. My colleagues were surprised to find the waterfall in the deep jungle, he said. It is located around 8 kilometres from Kaghaznagar town.
In the meantime, another seasonal waterfall found in the dense forest of Ootpalli village in Kaghaznagar has also come alive. It is learnt that Kaghaznagar forest range is home to scores of seasonal waterfalls. However, a major portion of them have not been explored by either locals or nature lovers. Therefore, they still remain undiscovered.
Newly discovered Bison waterfalls, and Chintalamadara waterfalls in Tiryani mandal, Doddulayi waterfalls near Agarguda village, Siddeshwara waterfalls located close to Lodpalli village in Penchikalpet mandal, Sammakka-Sarakka waterfall near Krushnapalli village of Bejjur mandal have come back to life due to the recent incessant rains.
