Smriti parades mark Police Commemoration Day in Khammam, Warangal
Police Commemoration Day was solemnly observed across Khammam, Warangal, and Kothagudem districts with Smriti Parades and candlelight rallies. Officials, dignitaries, and families of martyrs paid floral tributes and read out the names of 191 police personnel who died in the line of duty this year.

Khammam/Warangal: Smriti Parades and candlelight rallies marked the Police Commemoration Day observed in erstwhile Khammam and Warangal districts on Tuesday remembering the sacrifices of martyred police personnel.
In Khammam, district Collector Anudeep Durisetty, Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt, District Forest Officer Siddharth Vikram Singh, police officers, staff and families of the martyrs laid floral wreaths and paid tributes at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial at the police parade ground.
RI Srisailam was in-charge of the guard of honour parade. Additional DCP (AR) Kumara Swamy read out the names of 191 martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty across the country this year.
In Kothagudem, district Collector Jitesh V Patil, Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju along with senior police officials and the family members paid homage to martyred police personnel at the district police headquarters in Hemachandrapuram.
Parade Commander Lal Babu led the guard of honour parade. Additional SP, Narender read out the names of martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty nationwide this year.
In Warangal, Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh along with MLAs N Rajender Reddy, Nagaraju, Warangal and Hanamkonda district Collectors Dr. Satya Sarada, Sneha Shabarish, GWMC Commissioner Chahat Bajpai, NDPCL CMD K Varun Reddy, NCC Group Commander Colonel Sachin Annarao, Colonel Ravi and senior police officers paid respects to martyred police.
Additional DCP Ravi read out the names of 191 police martyrs who died in the line of duty in the country since last year. The CP led a rally later. A candlelight rally was taken out Ashoka junction to the police commissionerate office in the evening.
