BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao extended greetings to Telangana residents on Saddula Bathukamma. They hailed the nine-day floral festival as a symbol of the State’s cultural identity, women’s self-respect, and the spirit of Telangana.

BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao extended greetings to the people of Telangana on Saddula Bathukamma, praising the festival as a unique cultural tradition. He prayed for blessings, happiness, and prosperity for all households across the state.

Saddula Bathukamma was celebrated with traditional fervour across Karimnagar and Rajanna-Sircilla districts. While the festival is typically observed on the ninth day of Engilipula Bathukamma, towns like Vemulawada continue celebrations for seven days.

Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, local MLA Adi Srinivas, municipal chairperson Ramathirdapu Madhavi and others took part in celebrations.

In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao observed that the Bathukamma festival has been identified as a symbol of women's unity for several generation in Telangana.

Attired in colorful sarees and jewelry, women and girls played bathukamma by making rounds around systematically arranged flowers besides singing songs.

The Bathukamma festival, which is celebrated collectively by all communities, is unique to Telangana.
