The driver, in an attempt to save a two-wheeler rider, took a sharp turn and lost control over the wheel, leading to the accident.

The victims hailing from Badangpet in Hyderabad were on their way to Navodaya Medical College in Raichur of Karnataka for treatment, when the mishap occurred.

The driver was apparently inebriated and lost control of the vehicle and ran over a motorcycle before ploughing into a roadside hotel.

The victims who are yet to be identified were residents of Tadbund in Hyderabad.
