The bus from Hyderabad to Kakinada met with an accident in Eluru district leading to three deaths and injuries to over 20 passengers

The accident took place as the driver of the private bus applied sudden brakes bringing the vehicle to an abrupt halt on the road. This resulted in a car following the bus to collide with it.

Out of a group of 12 men, five drowned while seven managed to survive. All of them were below 20 years and had gone for a bath in the river on the occasion of Mahashivaratri
