He paid tributes at the statue of Prof Jayashankar at Telangana Bhavan before leaving for Erravelli along with the followers and supporters to meet BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao for joining the party.

In an open letter addressed to the Governor, he congratulated her for her decision to enter electoral politics to contest as MP.

The BRS MLAs submitted a petition to him to this effect on behalf of the party leadership. MLAs Padi Kaushik Reddy, Kaleru Venkatesh, Mutha Gopal and a host of other leaders were part of the delegation. The speaker has assured them that he would look into the issue.

Kishan Reddy said Kavitha was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Liquor Scam that took place in Delhi, hence there was no question of the agency acting at the behest of the BJP.

In his resignation letter addressed to party president K Chandrashekhar Rao, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and support given to him by the party leadership.
