He pointed out that the government has announced a three-tier security plan for the pageant but questioned the necessity of such measures when essential services must continue in a war-like atmosphere
Initially launched in 2020, the LRS scheme received 25.67 lakh applications. While the previous BRS government cleared around nine lakh applications, the remaining applications were taken up after the Congress came to power.

Though officials are tight-lipped on the number of pending applications, it is learnt that a considerable number of applications are kept pending for processing
"Revanth Reddy has abandoned his responsibility as the head of the State," he said, adding that no Chief Minister in India’s history had ever made such pessimistic statements. He charged the Congress government with intellectual bankruptcy and moral decay, for seeking silly excuses to evade fulfilling its poll promises.
"Telangana State is not bankrupt Mr Cheap Minister. It is you and your corrupt Congress party that is intellectually bankrupt and morally bereft," BRS working president KT Rama Rao posted.
