According to the Covid vaccination bulletin, the cumulative number of beneficiaries who have received the first dose of Covid vaccine is 5,29,551 individuals
So far, since the launch of Covid vaccination drive for priority age groups on Monday, about 71, 588 persons have received the first dose of Covid vaccine across Telangana.
In 171 State-run vaccination centres, the authorities targeted 9,378 individuals out of which 8,986 were inoculated while in 162 vaccine centres in private hospitals.
"If more vaccines are produced and supplied to private hospitals and nursing homes, more people can be given the shot through mass vaccination in less time," Premji said.
The prime minister had launched the nationwide inoculation drive on January 16 with over three crore healthcare and frontline workers prioritised to get the jabs initially.
Senior Health Ministry officials who reviewed the implementation of Covid vaccination drive in Telangana on Tuesday, lauded the health department for ensuring efficient roll out of the vaccine with no major hassles.
Out of the 16, 750 beneficiaries planned, 82 per cent i.e. 13, 666 healthcare workers received the vaccine at 324 vaccination centres across all the 33 districts in Telangana.
