It may be recalled that in view of the recent floods and drowning incidents that occurred in the State, the Chief Minister had instructed to constitute the Telangana State Disaster Response force

Timely response from authorities averted a major disaster when a fire broke out at the famous Paradise Hotel in Secunderabad on Friday. Initial reports suggest that a short circuit led to the fire.

Due to the presence of combustible material on the push carts, thick smoke engulfed in the surroundings. On being alerted, a fire engine from the Moghalpura fire station reached the spot and doused the fire.
The Fire department personnel with the help of five fire engines managed to douse the fire. Panic prevailed in the surrounding areas due to the thick smoke emanating from the spot.

The victim was identified as Meghnath (40) and the injured as Sridhar (42) and Jagdev (44), all from Odisha and residents of Shapurnagar and Jeedimetla.
