More than 35,000 people have been forced from their homes, according to Bahia's civil defence and protection agency, reported CNN.

According to the statement issued by the state government, a total of 1990 villages in 119 mandals of four districts - Kadapa, Chittoor, Anantapur, and Nellore - were affected by the floods
