The BRS leader pointed out that about 90 percent of the paddy cultivated in Telangana is of the coarse variety, which does not fetch a good market price.
Taking to X, Harish Rao said the Congress leaders chased the BRS elected representatives with around 20 cars on the Outer Ring Road, to terrorise them.

The BRS government had protected the interests of the beedi workers, he said, recalling that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had given Rs.2,000 pension for beedi workers.
Congress leaders, who cheated the public with their fake assurances before assembly elections, were again trying to misguide the people by taking vows on deities, he said.
He pointed out that Revanth Reddy is intentionally avoiding mention of other electoral promises except for crop loan waiver he made during the assembly election campaign.
Though he asked former Minister T Harish Rao to be ready with his resignation, Revanth Reddy avoided responding to whether he would resign or not if he failed to complete the loan waiver by August 15.
Rao said the Election Commission did not act against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy though he attempted to create differences between castes in the State during his speeches.
Since the State is all set to celebrate its 10th Foundation Day on June 2, Rao said it was the right time to get the promises made in the Reorganisation Act fulfilled.
