A fresh survey for two elevated corridors through cantonment areas has revealed the need for 2.68 acres of additional Defence land. The variation will require HMDA to pay Rs 13 crore more to the Secunderabad Cantonment Board

The Secunderabad Cantonment Board has cleared a four-lane Y-shaped flyover at Rasoolpura junction by issuing a NoC to the GHMC. The Rs 150 crore project aims to ease chronic traffic congestion at one of Hyderabad’s busiest junctions.

HMDA has proposed widening the pipeline road from MGIT to Manikonda with a 6-lane carriageway, sanctioned at Rs 110 crore. A second project will widen the ORR left carriageway from Nanakramguda to Gachibowli, aimed at easing congestion near flyover approaches.
