Arvind Kejriwal said the Delhi State would stand by the Telangana State in this hour of natural calamity.

During the next 10 days, all the MLAs should inspect the situation in the rain-affected areas and monitor relief and rescue operations, the Minister said.

Telangana government issues operational guidelines to help rain-hit

The Minister appealed to all residents in low lying areas and those staying in the first and second floors to shift to relief camps immediately and not to put their lives at risk.

The team of police officials visited Ali Nagar, Subhan Colony, King’s Colony and interacted with the residents apart from taking up relief measures.

The large scale urban flooding caused in the last few days in the State has increased the risk of water and vector-borne diseases.

Out of the 59 Distribution Transformers (DTRs) that were affected by floods five were repaired and the work on the remaining was going on.

Accompanied by local MLAs and officials, the Minister interacted with residents and checked whether they were being extended basic facilities.

The Minister along with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar reviewed the rescue and relief measures being taken up in the city in view of the rains.

The Chief Minister has asked all officials concerned to come prepared for the meeting since the State government has to submit a report to the Centre on the losses caused by the heavy rains and flash floods in the State.
