With the southwest monsoon again getting active over the State, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday has issued an Yellow alert for Hyderabad

According to the India Meteorological Department, the city has received 6.3 mm rainfall in the last one week against the normal 47.8 mm, which is an 87 per cent deficit.

The alert is issued when the water level touches 1,762.75 feet and the gates are opened if the level goes up to 1,763 feet.

As per the forecast by the IMD Hyderabad, the city will witness light to moderate showers at isolated places.

The GHMC officials said that as the structure was located on a hill, it posed a threat to other buildings in case it collapsed.

The maximum temperature in Hyderabad is expected to be around 30 to 33 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature would range between 22 and 24 degree Celsius.
