The India Meteorological Department (IMD) for Sunday has issued a yellow alert for several Telangana districts, warning of the likelihood of heavy rainfall in isolated areas.
People participating in celebrations watched demonstrations with curiosity since they would not usually get an opportunity to watch such incidents directly.
Two-year-old Shiva was kidnapped while on his way to a grocery store with his elder sister by an unidentified person at 6:30 pm on Tuesday. Upon receiving the information, the police formed six special teams, rescued him within 16 hours, and reunited him with his parents.
Police report that daily wage laborers Raju and Lakshmi were living in Dubbavada with their children, Ammulu and Shiva. While Ammulu and Shiva were heading to the grocery store, an unknown person on a bike approached them, gave Rs 20 to Ammulu to buy chocolates, and then fled with Shiva as she went to the shop.
Producing the accused before the media in Metpalli police station on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar explained the modus operandi of the bike lifter.
