In a statement, the Chief Minister observed that people residing in inundated areas have suffered severe losses after rain water entered into their homes and damaged their essential commodities.

The Chief Minister annnounced the decision at a high level review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan here to take stock of the ongoing relief works in the State

The Chief Minister, in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said the State had suffered losses to the tune of Rs 5,000 crore in the heavy rains and subsequent flash floods across the State.

The Chief Minister has asked all officials concerned to come prepared for the meeting since the State government has to submit a report to the Centre on the losses caused by the heavy rains and flash floods in the State.

He assured of all support and assistance from the Centre in the rescue and relief work

CM appreciated immediate response of the staff to heavy rains in the State and for taking up restoration works in adverse weather conditions

Suggests four-pronged approach for development of agriculture in State
