The Telangana government has announced revised land and property values effective June 5, following a Cabinet decision to align government-fixed rates with prevailing market prices.

The BRS has demanded the resignation of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, alleging his family-owned firms were involved in illegal mining and land disputes. Party leaders accused him of conflict of interest, claiming he fled Assembly sessions and allowed colleagues to respond on his behalf.

District in-charge minister Vakiti Srihari said the Telangana government plans to replace weekly chicken with fish in the midday meal scheme for government schoolchildren. Ministers also reviewed the 99-day Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika with officials from Khammam and Kothagudem
Former Minister and Suryapet MLA G Jagadish Reddy criticised the Congress government after Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy alleged his phone was being tapped by BRS leaders. Reddy termed the claim shameful and questioned how a ruling party minister could make such charges.
The officials were asked to identify flood-prone villages and develop real-time information systems in coordination with the India Meteorological Department.
60 percent of the amount spent for the project would be contributed by the Central government, 30 percent by the State government and 10 percent would be from the municipal funds.
