Seven people were killed when a vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a rivulet in Mandi district in the early hours of Monday.

The incident occurred when a car proceeding towards Korutla from Jagitial hit a roadside parked lorry on the outskirts of Venkatapur after midnight.

The road accident took place at 4 am when their car hit a parked DCM truck at Aitipamula village.

As per reports, the incident took place around 3.30 am on Friday, when the van carrying 15 people was returning from a wedding.

The deceased have been identified as Banala Ramesh and Rajith of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district and one another as Swamy

According to police, Jakka Kurmaiah from Shamirpet village of Bijinepally mandal in Mahabubnagar district was returning him with his family members in a DCM van from Maharastra where he migrated for work.

According to the police, Srinivas and Swathi were going on an Activa when a lorry hit them near South India shopping mall at Madinaguda.
