The Cabinet is expected to discuss and finalise the modalities for crop loan waiver for farmers, implementation of Rythu Bharosa scheme, new State Emblem, and features of new statue of Telangana Talli among other issues.
He recalled that he had pursued vigorously almost for one full year with the Ministry of Home for the Central government's approval before the new emblem of Telangana was unveiled after it attained statehood.
Initially, the State government had planned to unveil the new emblem, Telangana Talli statue and Telangana State song on June 2 as part of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
However, it did not took serious objection to removal of the iconic Charminar from the emblem, stating that it was built by foreign ruler, whereas Kakatiya Arch was built by Indian rulers.
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that the emblem should reflect the democratic aspirations of the people and imbibe the State’s culture and traditions.
