Police in Hyderabad are hunting Ajith Kumar alias Shiva, who allegedly stole Rs 60 lakh from an Axis Bank ATM in Gachibowli. The suspect abandoned the vehicle, moved through Ashok Nagar and Miyapur, and is now believed to be in the IDA Bollaram area.

Government Railway Police in Hyderabad arrested a 32-year-old man for stealing 200 grams of gold from a passenger on the Lingampally–Kakinada Special Express. The accused was found behaving suspiciously at Lingampally station and later confessed to the theft.

Gopal admitted to having stolen five vehicles at different places over a period of time. The police have recovered the five vehicles.

The man Pradeep, (30) a resident of Bichoula village in Doupur district of Rajasthan was involved in nine cases of theft registered in different police stations in Cyberabad.

Officials recovered 26.5 tolas of gold ornaments worth Rs 21 lakh from Ranveer. Police revealed that Ranveer, along with five associates who are currently absconding, hails from various locations in Delhi and Haryana. The group allegedly stole valuables from rail passengers and sold them to fund their lavish lifestyle.

Police said the victim Mohd Qutbuddin alias Quddus had previously murdered Syed Mujahed, in 2023 at Jhirra, Asifnagar, over some issue. Mujahed is the brother of Taher, Imran and Muzaffer and the trio wanted to avenge the killing and awaited an opportunity.

A suspected thief was beaten to death by villagers, while his two accomplices were critically injured here on Monday morning, police said.
