Over the last few days, defections engineered by Revanth Reddy of senior BRS leaders into the party have stoked the fire that was already raging over other issues.
On Thursday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy chaired a meeting at Secretariat to discuss the release of State song, besides proposed changes in the State emblem and Telangana Talli statue.
Further, he said the Congress was taking advantage of its position in the State and intimidating voters in several villages to vote for it, failing which all schemes would be stopped to them.
Interestingly, while the Congress complaint was about the April 6 press conference by Chandrashekhar Rao, the ECI order makes a mention of his speeches from way back in 2019 as well.
In its complaint, BJP State general secretary G Premender Reddy alleged that the TPCC official handle had posted a doctored speech of Shah on social media platform 'X'
The party’s former MLC Potla Nageswara Rao, who was in the race for Khammam ticket and TPCC campaign committee State coordinator Maddisetti Ajay Babu alias Yerrappa were in the fray as independents.
State BJP Legislative Party leader A Maheshwar Reddy accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of attempting to shield individuals implicated in the purported irregularities of the Dharani Portal.
She then called upon Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and in-charge minister Seethakka with the help of Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju, spurring the other aspirants to intensify their efforts to bag the ticket.
