Hyderabad: The crucial issue pertaining to prohibited lands is likely to be resolved in the next meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee constituted to discuss modalities to be adopted for sorting out various grievances on Dharani portal.

The meeting will be conducted in consultation with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar. The subcommittee has already examined 34 different types of problems being faced by people. After studying every issue in detail, the committee identified 11 grievances.

The Cabinet sub-committee asked officials of the Revenue Department to come up with solutions to the 11 problems so that additional features could be included in the portal for convenience of people to carry out transactions without any hiccups.

The subcommittee is likely to finalise the new features to be included in portal, a one-stop destination for agriculture land transactions, during its meeting next week.

Since it has already asked officials concerned to complete the exercise and sort out all the technical glitches, the subcommittee might finalise new features and submit the same to the State government for perusal.

Officials said the main intention of introducing new features in the portal was to ensure that the agriculture property buyers carry out transactions in a hassle-free manner. The new features will be in addition to the existing features.

Citizens can now perform transactions pertaining to sale, gift, partition, succession, mortgage, mutation and Non-Agricultural Lands Assessment Act (NALA) conversion among others, through the portal.
