Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) on Sunday released the Group – I Mains exams general ranking list (GRL) with a woman from Hyderabad topping the list in the general category. Lakshmi Deepika Kommireddi secured 550 out of 900 marks. Among the top 10, six ranks were secured by women.
Seven OCs, and three BC candidates figured in the top 10 ranks, while none are from SC and ST categories. Interestingly, one man, a non-local to Telangana, secured third rank.
The total marks and memorandum of marks of candidates who appeared for the Group-I Mains examinations conducted from October 21 to 27, 2024, have also been released by the Commission.
While the GRL has been hosted on the Commission’s website https://www.tspsc.gov.in, total marks of the candidates who have attended all the seven papers and memorandum of marks are made available in candidate’s login on the website.
The GRL has been generated for candidates who have qualified in general English paper and secured minimum qualifying aggregate marks as prescribed for respective categories, the TGPSC said.
Based on the GRL, the required number of candidates will be picked up for certificate verification, the Commission said, adding that such candidates would be informed individually and through TGPSC website. Candidates have been advised to keep all the required original certificates and documents ready as mentioned in the notification.
Meanwhile, several Group – I aspirants raised concerns and apprehensions regarding the examination results. According to aspirants, out of 1,656 candidates who appeared for the exams in centre code 18 and 19 (Koti Women’s College) 74 were selected in top 500, while only 68 out of 18,077 candidates who sat for the exams in 25 centres figured in top 500.
“How can 74 candidates from one college centre secure ranks in top 500 ranks. We feel there is a discrimination in the evaluation and results,” said Akhileshwar Reddy, a Group – I aspirant.
