Tribal Museum at ITDA Bhadrachalam attracts visitors in droves
The museum, which had a limited number of tribal artifacts in the past, has been renovated and redesigned to depict tribal way of life in its entirety along with amenities such as a selfie point, food court among others to impress visitors.

Kothagudem: A Tribal Museum showcasing tribal culture, traditions and customs on the premises of the ITDA, Bhadrachalam has been attracting visitors.
The museum, which had a limited number of tribal artifacts in the past, has been renovated and redesigned to depict tribal way of life in its entirety along with amenities such as a selfie point, food court among others to impress visitors.
The initiative was taken up by Bhadrachalam ITDA Project Officer B Rahul to preserve tribal cultural traditions passed down through generations.
Tools, objects used by adivasis, bullock carts and hunting items have been collected and displayed in the museum. The tribal dresses and art of the past generations arranged in special rooms like Lifestyle Room, Ornament Room, Festival Room, Hunting Room, etc. Mud houses and traditional houses used by the tribals have been built and decorated beautifully.
A mini-tank was built for boating for the children. A sports field has been set up to play various games like beach volleyball, box cricket, badminton, and archery.
Tribal delicious and nutritious food is being served for the visitors. Project Officer Rahul informed that steps were being taken to encourage pilgrims visiting Bhadradri Temple to pay a visit to the museum.
Each artifact would represent the lifestyle of Koya, Nayakpod, Kondareddy and Lambada tribes. Rachabanda used by tribals to conduct panchayats in rural areas, the idols of the deities and worship methods of the tribals, thatched houses and their weapons as well as tribal paintings have also been included in the museum. The museum outdoor has been lit up with colourful lighting, he said.
District Collector Jitesh V Patil and Superintendent of Police B Rahith Raju, who visited the museum recently appreciated the initiative of ITDA PO Rahul and said it could help visitors to learn about the cultural traditions of the tribal tribes and taste the tribal cuisine.
