Biker racks up 277 pending challans worth Rs 79,845 in Karimnagar
A motorcycle in Karimnagar was found to have 277 pending traffic challans totalling Rs 79,845, mostly for helmet violations. The vehicle, traced during a routine patrol, was seized by police and shifted to the traffic station.

Karimnagar: In a surprising incident, a motorcycle in Karimnagar was found to have 277 pending challans amounting to Rs.79,845. The Honda Unicorn (registration number TS 02 EX 1395) had multiple challans issued for traffic violations between June 8, 2019, and December 25, 2024.
Of these, 264 challans were registered under the Karimnagar Traffic Police Station limits, while the remaining were booked by other police stations. The majority of the 254 challans were for riding without a helmet, followed by 10 for not wearing a face mask, seven for triple riding, two each for using a mobile phone while driving and driving without a licence, and one each for zigzag driving and improper number plate.
During traffic enforcement and patrolling on Friday, police traced the motorcycle at Sikhwadi in the town and shifted it to the traffic police station.
The vehicle is owned by Abdul Kayyum, a resident of Godamgadda area in Karimnagar town, who is a registered medical practitioner (RMP).
