CM KCR to launch Dalit Bandhu at Shalapalli in Huzurabad

Karimnagar: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to launch Dalit Bandhu at Shalapalli of Huzurabad mandal where the most successful Rythu Bandhu scheme was launched in 2018.
It may be recalled that the State government has decided to launch Dalit empowerment scheme in Huzurabad on a pilot basis. The Chief Minister has reportedly chosen the same village as Rythu Bandhu had become successful.
Ministers Gangula Kamalakar and Koppula Eashwar, along with District Collector RV Karnan, Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana and other officials, on Tuesday examined the meeting venue in Shalapalli. About 1 lakh Dalits are expected to participate in the launch of Dalit Bandhu on August 16.
Kamalakar said political parties, which treated Dalits as a vote bank, used to forget them after elections. However, the Chief Minister had designed Dalit Bandhu to develop the community on all fronts.
Responding to BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s demand to provide Rs 50 lakh to each Dalit family under the scheme, the Minister took a jibe at him asking the Centre to contribute the remaining Rs 40 lakh to go with the State’s Rs 10 lakh.
BJP leaders, who falsely claim that there is Central contribution in every scheme being implemented in the State, should take steps to provide Rs 40 lakh to each family under Dalit Bandhu by convincing the Union government.
Commenting on BJP leader Eatala Rajender’s padayatra, Kamalakar said the former withdrew his yatra as people were rejecting him. With the fear of an imminent defeat, BJP leaders are distributing clocks, sewing machines to attract voters. Not falling for the BJP’s splurge, people broke clocks distributed to them.
Besides 24 hours power supply, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyanalaxmi, Aasara pensions and other schemes have been implemented in the state. No state in the country was implementing such kinds of schemes, he said.
Eashwar said to develop the financial condition of Dalits, the Chief Minister had designed the Dalit empowerment programme and allocated Rs 1,000 crore in the last budget. About 20,000 families would benefit from the scheme.
